Sony Vaio NS20
Sony Vaio NS20 Review
This notebook from Sony caught our attention as it is a best seller at Amazon.
With built in webcam, Windows Vista premium, 15.4″ screen this laptop is from Sony’s NS range which is intended as their “entry level” or affordable range.
The Sony Vaio NS20 is not cheap at around £500 but it doesn’t look or perform cheap either, with 3GB RAM, and a 2.16 GHz Intel Pentium processor it’s got some serious processing power to run the bundled Windows home Vista Premium and some of the excellent Vaio software for music and film editing. Think about the DVD player, 4 USB ports and 250GB hard disk when you are comparing the NS20 range with netbooks. This computer is so much more capable than a netbook but then again it’s more expensive, heavier and has shorter battery life. It just depends on your requirements but make no mistake this notebook from Sony is well worth a look.
A Sony Vaio NS20 weighs just under 3 kilograms, and you can expect around 2 hours battery life under normal conditions.
Love it love it love it. Must admit I’ve always been a Sony fan but did look at some other brands before plumping for the NS20. Looks and feels fantastic, comes with much better software than cheaper laptops and just works well. I use it a lot to build websites, to skype and just to watch films.
