Downsides are only two and a half hours battery life and poor sound. I don't regret buying the Aspire 5735 though as I just don't like the small screens on netbooks and my laptop usually lives on a desk or kitchen table in my house so I don't need loads of portability just enough to move it about the house and sometimes e.g. on holiday to take it away. Never owned a laptop, sorry notebook before, Always been a desktop man so was worried it would seem slow by comparison . Needn't have worried about that, it does get hot though after it's been on all day. Really like the screen and have watched DVDs in bed as superior to my TV !
